In Memoriam:

Dedicated to the Access Air crew:

Great deeds often come with great risk. Every time these men and women climb aboard rescue helicopters and go to the skies, they take a chance. Highly trained and with professional caring they are a dedicated group. They are the pilots, nurses, and paramedics that make up flight teams. Their legacy is enormous.

Roger E. Morrison, 54, lost his life in the line of duty on August 21, 2004. He was the pilot of a Bell 407 helicopter and part of the rescue team that was transporting an 11-day-old infant and her mother to Washoe Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. When tragedy struck, and contact was lost with the pilot, search teams were immediately sent. They found the grizzly wreckage on the upper portion of the rugged mountainous terrain of Mount Tobin. There were no survivors.

Mr. Morrison served in the United States Army for 27 years as a helicopter pilot and a flight instructor. He flew MedEvac in Vietnam, Korea, and Nicaragua. MedEvac pilots were held in high esteem by their colleagues for the service they performed, while the United States was engaged in combat mission where rescue was performed.

Honored 2005

-  Gary Morrison
